Loosely inserted is the folded sheet which prints ''The Aim of the Group Theatre'' and serves as a membership form.On the front free endpaper is the ownership signature of the poet Jon Stallworthy who was the author of the 1995 biography of Louis MacNeice.Fine in near-fine, slightly nicked, price-clipped dustwrapper with none of the usual fading to the red lettering on the spine.

The First UK printing published by Faber & Faber, London in 1937. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with juts some light toning to the spine and cover edges. Light toning to the text-block and page edges. Free from inscriptions. The grey top-stain remains vibrant. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition with just very light edge-wear at the spine tips and corners. Light toning to the spine and edges. The red lettering to the spine remains unfaded. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been signed (without dedication) by W.H. Auden to the second blank end-paper. Photographic illustrations throughout. The folding map of Iceland is present at the rear and is in fine condition.
