London: John Murray, 1834. Hardcover. Good+. Volume Three Only. Book has rounded fore edge corners. Head and tail of spine are bumped and worn with a horizontal split to the cloth at the head of the spine. Book plate from previous owner on front paste down. Spine is a bit faded. Some foxing to pages; heaviest at front and rear. No other marks. Binding is sound. Brown embossed boards with gilt title block on the spine.

Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Visible marking to some pages throughout, but text is not affected. Binding is slightly shaky, due to cracked hinges, but all pages remain attached. Pencil inscriptions to front endpapers. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Spine is severely sunned, with noticeable crushing and slight splitting to ends. Visible marks overall. Gilt remains bright. Book has a slight forward lean.
