First photoplay edition of this title based on the famed pre-Code film which actually won the 1929 Academy Award for first sound film, and was one of the earliest musicals to feature a Technicolor Sequence, however this sequence has now been lost. The film produced by Thalberg & Weingarten for MGM, directed by Harry Beaumont, and starred Charles King, Anita Page, and Bessie Love.
