Light green printed paper wrappers. Two small tears at the spine ends, light soiling to the rear wrap, else near fine. A scarce contemporary history by one the regiment's commanders, Lieutenant-Colonel Walker. Organized at Camp Marion, near Georgetown, South Carolina, the unit began its service in August 1861 and quickly gained a reputation as a well-disciplined regiment. They fought in skirmishes and major battles throughout the Confederate States and surrendered on April 26, 1865. A handsome copy in the original wraps.
