Dr. Grant MacEwan looks at Canadian politics both as a participant (once mayor of Calgary and, at time of writing, Lieutenant-Governor of Alberta) and an interested observer. This book was written "with the hope of doing something to re-awaken political enthusiasm, thereby gaining a more vigorous Democracy" and he expresses a wish that Canadians would bring to the political arena "more of the enthusiasm fans have for a football or hockey game". Small erased pencil mark on free front endpaper, tiny and small corner bumps, wrinkling at top/bottom of spine. Dust jacket has light to moderate edge wear/wrinkling - mostly at top/bottom of spine and flap-folds, light soiling, slight browning and a few very small faint stains on spine, tape on inside top/bottom edges.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good+.

The institute of Applied Art, Ltd. , 1966. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. Publication of 192 pages. Externally the book shows signs of previous ownership. The dust jacket is slightly shelf rubbed, edge worn, slightly chipped and scuffed in places. On the spine on the book it is chipped. Underneath the boards remain in good condition. But it still presents handsomely in cellophane. There is slight tanning on the block of the book. The pages are bright and attractive, and the text remains clear. GK.
