Rubbed joints and extremities, cloth flecked on spine and rear panels, cloth slightly separated (repaired) along lower rear joint. Front panel nicely intact. Former owner bookplate and signature on front endpapers. Anthology of writings by alumni, including Frank Norris, Class of 1894. Early, interesting associational item for Univ. of CA collections..

Photographic frontispiece, illustrated title page, small decorations of the California bear on every page. Nicely INSCRIBED on the front endpaper by Earle Snell, one of the two business managers: "To Stu Masters, who gave me my first childish impression of a finished U.C. product, as well as a disastrous aspiration to emulate him in rivaling H.
