Descripción:
Very Good. 8vo, wraps (disbound), 64 pp, no real title page, but then again, copies in Worldcat don't seem to have a title page, either. If we had to guess, the original cover wraps had the title, author, and publisher's information. Probably published 1860, it is an odd amalgam of advice, recipes and quackery, from How to Get Rich, Art of Good Behavior, On the Choice of Meats and How to Cook Them, to On the Preservation of Sight, The Art of Carving (with in-text illustrations), on Making Puddings, Courtship and Marriage, Hydropathy, etc. The appendix of wealthy people is very interesting indeed. John Jacob Astor by far exceeds everyone, worth a cool $25M. Trimmed VERY close along right edge, resulting in loss of the last letters of some words.
