Marbled endpapers, AEG. Bound by Mudie. Prize bookplate in all volumes. Covers scuffed, worn but solid. Leather crackling on the spine. Volume 3 has been partially rebacked. Light wear but the wilderness has intruded with a number of tiny perfect wormholes penetrating both boards and into the following pages. The original borers are long gone and the tiny tunnels add some character to the book. Otherwise very light wear and quite an attractiv copy.

Extraordinary photographs of waterfowl in flight complented by black and white drawings and tissue-guarded colour frontis by Bishop.
