The price clipped jacket has a few short, closed tears at the edges. Includes some illustrations, 322 pages. Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper, with a photo of a boat affixed to the front endpaper (I'm assuming it was the boat the author alluded to in his inscription). A geologist's adventures from the Arctic to South America.

A minor dampstain at the foredge of the page block the first 30 or 40 pages; the contents page is missing a piece which contains most of the page numbers for the listed sections; owner's stamp and handwritten date on front pastedown. Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper. Includes a few illustrations, endnotes, and an index; 443 pages.

London, 1731. First Edition . Full-Leather. Three volumes, all good to very good in the original calf binding. The front board is detached on all three volumes, with evidence of bookplate removals on the front pastedown of each front board. Spines on all three volumes have title label "Philosophical/Conversations" in gilt with black background. Fairly minor dampstaining to small areas at edges in each volume, all 89 copper plates appear to be present. Translated and with notes by Thomas Dale. Volume I contains 402 pages, volume II contains 414 pages, and volume III contains 342 pages.

NY: Woodmere Press; (1985). Revised Edition . Soft cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Later printing of the revised edition, near fine in wraps. One small tear in the front cover; a touch of minor soiling. Includes a few photographs, reference list, resource list, and two pages of ads for the publisher plus two pages of order forms; 137 pages. Despite the title, an anti-pot book citing serious medical research.

NY: Farrar Straus Giroux; (1979). First Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Stated first printing, near fine in a near fine dust jacket. Light gray cloth with silver lettering. Light soiling in a few small aras to edges of page block. The jacket has just light edgewear and rumpling, with a tiny bit of loss at the foot of the spine. Wolfe's take on NASA and the astronaut image. Jacket has $12.95 price on front flap; no names or other markings in the book - a tight, clean copy.

Louisville, KY: The Standard Printing Co. 1938. First Edition . Hardcover. One of 300 copies, very good+ lacking a dust jacket. Gray boards are slightly soiled, with minor wear at corners of spine. Small, inoffensive dampstain to rear board at bottom (about the size of a dime). Map frontispiece, bibliography; 46 pages. The subtitle is "An account of the discoveries, early surveys, and regional geology of this famous Clastic of the Upper Mississippi Valley coupled with an outline of its stratigraphic correlatives in Kentucky to which are added notes on its oil and gas possibilities and a bibliography.

NY: Columbia University Press, 1947. First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Fine in a very good dust jacket. The jacket has small chips at edges. The author is a proponent of using scientific processes to implement social change in the post-war era. 191 pages including an index.

Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company, 1970. First Edition . Hardcover. Stated first edition, very good in a very good dust jacket. Slight dampstain near the top of the spine to both book and jacket. The blue cloth boards also also have slight loss to cloth along the bottom edge. The jacket has slight loss at spine ends, edges, and a little rubbing generally. $5.95 price is present on front flap. A collection of essays which first appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction from 1959 through 1969.

Paris: Hermann et Cie, 1932. First Edition . Hardcover. Originally issued in wraps, this copy has been rebound in red cloth with gilt lettering on spine, and marbled endpapers. Near fine, with owner's embossed name at the top of the front endpaper. An early treatise in quantum mechanics by this Nobel Laureate. 246 pages.
