The first edition is generally attributed to 1829/1830. In 1974, Sotheby's sold a third edition which included an inscription dated 1834. Most of the literature refers to the third edition being circa 1835. This edition is described on the title page as being "A New Edition, with Additions to the Present Season." 36 pages, string bound in original paper wrap covers. There are 12 hand colored illustrations, with two each on five pages, plus the frontispiece. Covers are worn and soiled, and show a little paper loss at corners. Part of cover is split along spine, though remains tightly held together by the binding threads.
