A 1" x 1/2" scrape on spine, two half-inch tears on front, couple of tiny chips, and rubs at fold.

Price code on jacket flap 395/395. Bound in dark rose cloth boards. Tiny bump on bottom corner. Dust jacket has a 1" tear, a couple of tiny chips at corners, and a crease on corner of front flap. Clean and straight with a mylar cover on the dust jacket.

Los Angeles: Borden, 1951. First edition. Hardcover. VG+/Good. Novel of friendship of young Ozark mountain man with an outsider. Inscribed by author "To Norman S. --- with the author's very best wishes. Charles Carson". Dust jacket had been torn & repaired inside the length of the front panel with cellophane tape. Tape has been removed & dj carefully glued together, but stain from tape remains. Jacket is complete & would be very good but for the tear & tape. Mylar protective cover on the jacket. Signed

Howard Garis wrote the Uncle Wiggily books and he and his family wrote numerous other books for children: Tom Swift, Motor Boys, Bobbsey Twins, etc. Green boards have tiny rubs on the corners. Stated First Edition but no price on the unclipped dust jacket. A one-inch tear and some dustiness on the jacket.

Dusty & rubbed rear panel. Appears to be first edition, 1944A per Farah's Guide. Mylar protective cover on dust jacket.

The original Peter Pan book with drawings by F.D. Bedford. Olive green boards with gilt stamped decorations on spine and front cover. In scarce fragile dust jacket with same gold decorations, and $1.50 price at bottom front. Dust jacket, in mylar cover, is separated at spine fold, and has three tears on the flap folds. A one-inch chip to top front of dust jacket and few other smaller chips at top of spine and rear panel, and two 1/2" tears at bottom edge. Boards have light rubs at bottom edge. Book is housed in a fine Robert Wang custom green slipcase with copy of green and gilt front illustration on the side of the box. Not available for international shipping.
