The author states that he took a post as a surgeon for a company operating a platinum mine in Chocó. Includes numerous stories about travelers (one who claims to be the brother of the bestselling author Marie Corelli), dangers encountered on the journey, and meetings with local Afro-Colombian and indigenous peoples. Part of a series of adventure stories advertised that take place in U.S. national parks, Florida, and the Congo. Date of publication from latest date mentioned in the text. WorldCat lists only one location as of May 2023.

Santa Monica: World Tribune Press / George M. Williams, Publisher, 1984. Paperback. 118p., numerous in-house journalistic photographs on inserted glazed stock, soft bound in 8.5x6 inch photo-decorated wraps. A little edgeworn with faint pressure marks, a very good copy: sound, clean and unmarked. Publisher Williams, and author McCarty, belong part and parcel to Nichiren Shoshu. Ikeda has run into trouble since this idolatrous account; see for instance "Priests Speak Out: Why They Are Leaving Nichiren Shoshu

Santa Monica: SGI-USA Temple Issue Committee, 1999. Pamphlet. 12p., softbound, an 8.5x5.5 inch pamphlet in glazed blue wraps. Stapled, the interior arms of the staples a touch rusted, covers slightly crimped, an otherwise excellent copy: sound and unmarked. In gist, the texts charge bullying by senior clerics and fraudulent articles of worship.

[Minneapolis?]: Brooks Bros., printers, 1877. Ephemera. [4]pp., illustration, wraps. 9.25 x 6 in. A tear one-inch up from the foot of the brochure; edges chipped and toned; stain in the gutter; a hole punched through the top left corner. Program for a satirical show, possibly put on by a group who were students at the University of Minnesota (based on internal references to University affairs and Hennepin County).

Red Deer, Alberta: Virus 23, 1992. Magazine. 68p., magazine wraps; photos., illus., music and literary reviews, small price sticker on front wrap, else very good.

Eugene, OR: Goblinko, 2012. Staplebound. [20] pages, illustrations. Color printed newsprint wrappers. Stated print run of 10,000. Newspaper reporting on music, fashion, and other parts of the 2010s counter-culture; modeled after underground newspapers of the 1960s. This issue includes interviews with bands (No Tomorrow Boys and Guantanamo Baywatch); reviews of toys, shoes (Mexican blanket Vans sneakers), food (habanero jelly), and books (including a PM Press title on underground publishing); comics; and short articles on everything from illustrators to King Kong. The publication ceased in 2018. Much of the illustration was done by Äaberg.

Advertisement for the Rock-Ola 464 jukebox, introduced in 1976. Lengthy ad copy and full color cover illustration and color photograph showing the interior of the machine. Part specifications printed on page [4].

Chicago: Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation, 1968. Ephemera. 1 sheet (double-sided), color illustrations. 11 x 8.5 in. Light spotting on rear. With a folding flap. Ad for Rock-Ola's line of compact jukeboxes, "to fit every location and fill every need. It's the complete line for complete profit.".

[Humboldt County, CA]: [publisher not identified], 2007. Ephemera. 1 sheet ([2] pages), portrait. 11 x 8.5 in. Dampstained along the lower, right, and top edges. Reggae on the River was an annual festival in Humboldt County, California that began in 1984 (ceasing in 2019) as a fundraiser for the Mateel Community Center, drawing reggae heavyweights like Toots and the Maytals, Steel Pulse, and Ziggy Marley. This flier concerns a controversy over revenue between the production company (People Productions), Mateel, and the owner of the property where the event was held, which led to the cancellation of the festival and the start of a breakaway festival, Reggae Rising (2007-2009).

Responds to criticisms by Edmund Wilson and Lewis Mumford that the CEAA was producing works that were pedantic and frivolous. The defense draws on the New Bibliography via Walter Greg, Fredson Bowers, and Charlton Hinman. Contributors: William M. Gibson, Ronald Gottesman, Paul Baender, Frederick Anderson, John C. Gerber, Oscar Cargill, and John H. Fisher. Preface by Gordon N. Ray.

New York: Avon, 1960. Mass Market Paperback. Multiple copies for antiphonal readings: 224p., all edges tinted, extremely toned paperstock that is fragile, these two in good to very good condition with minor drawbacks: one bears an inkpenned ownership on front cover plus a small old dampstain to fore-edge, the other a ballpoint ownership at the foot of the title page. No damage to text leaves, either one.

New York: Bantam / Warner Paperback Library, 1974. Mass Market Paperback. Multiple copies for antiphonal readings: two Bantams @150p., and a singleton Warner @ 174p. All edges are tinted yellow, pagination difference due to Bantam's space-saving layout. Both are mass-market softbound productions. Mildly toned paperstock that is not yet fragile, these three in good to very good condition, with the Warner as new, the Bantams with mildly smudged covers and reader-creased spines. No damage to text leaves, either format. The three as a package deal.
