First produced in this format in 1970, these are later printings from 1978, but retain the illustrations adapted from the work of Pauline Baynes. Book #1 is the only one that appears to have been read: it is VG+ with a small crease & minor rubbing. All other books are Near fine-Fine, appearing nearly Brand New & never opened, but some with mild rubbing along spine edges. Lovely limited edition copy of a relatively unknown poem by the Dane better known for his fairy tales (though he did produce 750 poems in his lifetime. In this 1830 work, he offers a science-fiction vision centered on the upcoming reappearance in 1835 of Halley's Comet. The poem also served as the basis for a later story of his of the same name that remains relatively unknown to English-speaking readers.
