Minor wrinkling, small closed tear mid-poster slightly touching text, else a Very Good, vibrant copy. Poster announcing a sit-in to be held during the U.N.'s special assembly on disarmament, June 12, 1978, at Bryant Park in New York City, with orientation and non-violent training the day before. Additional activities noted include a legal rally on May 27 at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. Text in yellow and white on a red background, a string of men and women running along the bottom edge as two silver nukes come straight towards them. U. Michigan only in OCLC as of September, 2019.

Faint mail folds, light toning, else Fine. Letter written on behalf of the Committee by its co-Chair, addressed to a Seldon (no last name provided) regarding a meeting earlier in the week. "We need people like you who are involved with the problems of making a lasting peace. We think the only way to dislodge our nation from its perilous policies is by massive, non-violent resistance. As the Birmingham Negroes did for integration, we want to pack the jails for peace...

Photoessay documenting severe birth and developmental defects among Iraqi citizens in the years following the first Gulf War, attributed by the authors to the use of depleted-uranium agents in armor-piercing shells by coalition forces. A startling collection of images documenting a horrific array of symptoms.

Uneven toning and some spotting, minor wrinkling from handling, else Very Good and sound. Issued by the "national grassroots organization of concerned people organizing effective campaigns to stop the life-threatening abuses of transnational corporations," here urging readers to boycott General Electric, manufacturer of several parts of nuclear weapon systems, including the nuclear generator. Date based on reference made to the 1986 GE shareholder meeting. Not separately catalogued in OCLC as of July, 2019.

Philadelphia: Mobilization for Survival, [1979]. Original illustrated poster, offset printed in three colors on yellow stock, measuring 45.5cm x 58cm (ca.18" x 23"). Old folds smoothed out, tiny pin-hole to upper margin, with a short tear at lower edge, and holograph local contact information pasted at lower right corner; Very Good+. Poster produced by Mobilization for Survival, a national coalition of peace and justice groups based in Philadelphia, who advocated for denuclearization and an end to the arms race. The group states their demands, above silhouettes of nuclear cooling towers and missiles of various sizes: Stop research, production and use of nuclear weapons; stop operation and construction of nuclear power plants; guarantee adequate heating fuel for the poor during the winter. Not found in OCLC, though we note an example held at OMCA.

Poster issued by the May 6th Coalition in the wake of the Three Mile Island accident on March 28, 1979. Center image features an illustration of a woman holding a baby and a crowd of people in front of nuclear cooling towers, directly above text reading: "The people put nuclear power on trial! Original illustrated poster, offset printed in colors on white stock, measuring 45.5cm x 60.75cm (18" x 24"). A few faint folds smoothed out, staple holes along left and right margins, with a few faint creases and small stains; Very Good. Poster produced by the New York-based Coalition for a Nuclear Free Harbor, promoting a July 4, 1986 event billed as "an alternative to the July 4th parade of warships led by the Battleship Iowa, flagship of the proposed NY nukeport." [The Netherlands]: Alfa, 1977. Original photographic poster (64x47cm.) printed offset in dark blue and red on glossy white stock; faint horizontal fold, the whole rather wrinkled, else Near Very Good. Issued the year of the nuclear arms race during which the United States was developing the neutron bomb, this anti-nuclear weapon poster depicts the body of a young girl sprawled in the middle of a deserted city street. OCLC locates one copy as of July, 2017, at the IISH, though with slightly differing dimensions.

First published edition of this Twentieth Century milestone, following a tiny mimeographed issue that appeared a few weeks earlier for advance distribution to the press and the scientific community. Includes a foreword by General Leslie Groves, Director of the Manhattan Project. Generally regarded as the first publicly-issued work on the subject of nuclear warfare, described by Carter and Muir as a "remarkably full and candid account of the development work carried out between 1940 and 1945 ... which culminated in the production of the first atomic bomb (PMM 422e).

[Amsterdam]: VVDM, 1979. Original illustrated poster (61x43cm.) printed offset in red and black on white stock; light wear to extremities, else Fine. Poster issued by the Vereniging van Dienstplichtige Militairen, one of the organizations protecting the rights of compulsory soldiers in the Dutch Army. The image shows a senior military type trying to take down actual posters issued by the VVDM and the BVD (a similar anti-militaristic organization), while two soldiers kick the ladder out from under him. OCLC locates one copy as of October, 2016, in the Netherlands.

Amsterdam, 1975. Original color pictorial silkscreen poster (61x43cm.) printed in red and black on white stock; faint previous folds, minor wear from handling, else Very Good or better. Protest poster responding to the forceful clearing by riot police of the Amsterdam neighborhood of Nieuwmarkt in the process of building an underground railway. Printed along the bottom edge: "Hang dit affiesje voor uw raam. Lat zien dat het ook u aangaat" (Hang this poster from your window. Show that this concerns you too). Printed silkscreen on verso, another, unrelated, pro-nuclear disarmament poster: "Pardon, Atoombommetje" ("Pardon, just a small atom bomb," attributed to Joost Ranzijn, ca. 1980).
