Mitchell (1888-1942) became a Hollywood film industry composer.Cover is an art deco type illustration of a young woman in a hat.

Brunner of silhouetted potentate on elephantback led by a mahout against an Indian background; predominant color is orange with a stylized sun. Anglo-American composer Wallace (1887-1963) wrote this popular song long before joining Disney Studios where he became a noted composer of music for short animated films. Weeks (1893-1967) was a Seattle songwriter.

The Italian-born Tin Pan Alley composer James V. Monaco (1885-1945) had his first published composition in 1911. He composed music for both stage and early screen and wrote the big Al Jolson hit "You Made Me Love You," later reprised by Judy Garland.

Lyricist Joseph McCarthy (1885-1943) wrote the 1919 hit "Alice Blue Gown."

[cover is a bit age spotted] Irish-American songwriter Tracey (1893-1957) was particularly adept at adding words to finished tunes, this one by the outstanding African-American composer Pinkard (1897-1962), whose songs would later include the jazz standard "Sweet Georgia Brown." Cover illustration depicts a courting couple standing in front of an outdoor table under an umbrella.

Boston: Daly Music. 1913. sheet music. 6pp. paper folio: fair condition [small loss @ bottom cover corner; edge tears; music is detached but complete] Colorful cover illustration, suitable for framing, depicts a couple in period dress preparing to ascend a staircase. Mittenthal was a lyricist in New York in the early 20th century. Daly (1883-1968) composed the music for this song.

[an interior leaf is chipped & torn @ fore edge; a cover crease; else G] Period color illustration of a young girl on the cover; sung by John McCormack on Victor Records. Ross (Arthur, Reed Ropes, 1859-1933) was a British lyricist and scholar. Silesu (1883-1953) was an Italian composer. The Irish-American tenor McCormack (1884-1945) was quite famous in his day.

[few creases & edge nicks; cover is suitable for framing] The long-lived Songwriters Hall of Famer Yellin (1892-1991) wrote "Happy Days Are Here Again," among many other Tin Pan Alley songs.

Chicago: F. J. A. Forster. 1916.. paper. sheet music. 6pp. paper folio with a nice charcoal and pencil cover illustration of a sailboat in a marshy area under a silver moon against a dark teal background. Good condition [interior leaf is edge torn, but cover is suitable for framing] "Waltz King" Logan (1871-1928) also wrote the "Missouri Waltz," which became that state's official song.
