USSR propaganda posterEvery child in the USSR heard about the distant Chilean people suffering under the Pinochet junta. The USSR led the international campaign for the release of Luis Carvalan and since 1975 has been negotiating on this topic. In September 1976, the option to exchange Korvalan for the famous Soviet political prisoner, dissident Vladimir Bukovsky was officially announced simultaneously by the Danish Committee of the Sakharov Readings in Copenhagen and by Academician Andrei Sakharov himself in Moscow. On December 15, the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU adopted a decision "On measures in connection with the release of Comrade L. The first edition of one of the most famous works of the ethnographer and archaeologist, professor at Moscow University, researcher of the culture of Ancient Russia, Ivan Mikhailovich Snegirev (1793–1868). Proverbs and parables for this work were collected by I.M. Snegirev for 30 years and constitute important material for the study of the Russian people and language. Vladimir Dal called this work one of the sources he used. In the report on the award of the fifth Demidov Prize, which was awarded to the book, "remarks and explanations of proverbs, sayings and various words related to domestic memories, and especially to ancient judicial rites and to the subject of jurisprudence, which constitute the most curious part of works of Mr. Snegirev. The edition is rare.

The Talmud Unmasked (Latin: Christianus in Talmud Iudaeorum: sive, Rabbinicae doctrinae Christiani secreta. English: The secret rabbinical teachings concerning Christians) published in 1892 by Justinas Bonaventure Pranaitis (1861–1917). The book, generally regarded as antisemitic, is a collection of purported quotations from the Talmud and Zohar that purports to demonstrate that Judaism despises non-Jews and promotes the murder of non-Jews in some instances. Pranaitis drew on the earlier works of Jakob Ecker and August Rohling.
