Stanford University: Stanford University Press, 1946. First US Edition/1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. Still the textbook on Mayan archaeology. In green cloth with gilt to type and illustration. Book in very nice shape with just bump to heel of spine and ding to top front corner. Otherwise, sharp corners, clean interior and solid binding. Numerous maps, illustrations and charts - some foldout. Jacket has not faired so well and is unclipped ($10.00) but is brittle and has numerous large chips, tears, creasing and separation at front flap and most of spine. A couple tape repairs to inside of jacket spine.

London: Granta Books , 2005. First UK Edition/1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Full number line down to and including 1. In blue boards with gilt to spine. Minimal wear to book or jacket.

Tiny spot to top of rear board and previous owner's address sticker to ffep, otherwise clean with sharp corners and solid binding. Jacket is price-clipped with some small chips/tears to edges and flap creases. Some scuffing/marks to panels.

New York: Four Winds Press, 1978. First US Edition/2nd Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. In red cloth with gilt to spine. Minimal signs of storage, clean with solid binding. Jacket is unclipped(with sticker over price crossed out), a couple short tears to tops of front flap crease and spine and a few other nicks/tiny chips to same, edges and corners. Light fading and a nick to spine. With photographs throughout.

Berkeley: Parnassus Press, 1964. First US Edition/1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Assumed first printing with no others mentioned. In pictorial mustard colored cloth with black graphics/type. A very nice copy with sharp corners and tight binding. Previous owner's short gift inscription to ffep with small sticker scar, otherwise clean. Jacket is price-clipped at bottom of front flap with small sticker mark at top and crease at top of front panel.

Previous owner's name to ffep, otherwise clean interior with sharp corners and solid binding. Jacket clipped at top and bottom of front flap with tears/chips to two corners and spine ends. A few small stains to top of rear panel and smudge to front panel near spine. Some tanning.

In beige cloth with red type. Three of four corners lightly dinged. Foxing to top page ends and to a lesser extent front ends with a few spots to tops of boards. Previous owner's gift inscription to ffep, otherwise clean with solid binding. Jacket is unclipped and in great shape with just some mild sunning to spine and minimal wear - a couple tiny punctures and nick to head of spine.

Spine faded, some small tape repairs to inside of jacket mostly at spine ends and scuffing/creasing. Illustrated with photos.

A beautiful copy, still glossy with sharp corners and only a crease to middle of spine denoting someone looking at the 80 photos in the book. Appears unread. Red tinted page ends.

Paris: Payot, 1949. First Edition/Early Printing. Paperback. Good +/N/A. In wraps. Dated 1947 on title page and 1949 on copyright page with no other printings listed. Edgewear/creasing with bumps to bottom of spine and top rear corner of spine. Vertical creasing to spine from opening. A couple short tears to top of rear cover near spine and one to bottom font spine crease with some chipping to bottom of spine. Tanning with minimal soiling. Short tears to tops of first few pages. Foxing to top pages and to a much lesser extent front page ends. A few spots in text block, otherwise nice and clean with solid binding. Illustrated with folding map attached in rear. Pages are still uncut. Deckle edge. In French.

London: David Bogue, 1844. Fourth Edition. Hardcover. Good/N/A. Fourth Edition stated. Rebound in new boards and sturdy black cloth with gilt to type on spine. Previously in library circulation with minimal marks - only stamps to title pages and pastedowns with numbers in pencil and small stickers to rear pastedowns of both volumes. A couple very small pieces of tape to title pages. Some moisture staining to bottom edge of frontispiece for volume 1. No frontispiece to volume 2. No pockets or due slips. Intermittant foxing throughout, though not excessive. Folding map following Table of Contents to volume 1 chipped to front edge with larger chip at bottom edge and a number of short tears/nicks. Also, splits to top and bottom of one crease, but still holding. Illustrated throughout in black and white.
