The British Empire: The Story of a Nation's Heritage - Six Volume Set Hardback, 1981 (originally published in 96 parts by Time-Life International, 1971-3), published by Ferndale Editions, London, 2688 pages.Each volume measures around 11 3/4" by 9" by 1 1/8". Pictorial paper on card boards. Some scuffing and denting to binding, a little marking but quite clean. Signs of shelf-wear, rubbing and a little tearing at board edges. Corners a little bumped and torn. Some slackness to spines but contents reasonably firm, although there may be the odd page that is only partially attached. Page edges a little marked but reasonably clean. A little pencil writing and numbering to the front free endpapers and pastedowns of most volumes but otherwise page surfaces are quite clean, odd marks here and there but there does not appear to be any underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
