ERIC DROOKER was born on East End Avenue in 1958 and has lived in Lower Manhattan his whole life. A third generation New Yorker, he has been drawing and painting since earliest childhood. His art has always combined the concrete reality of urban existence with visionary flights of imagination. His work appears in World War Three Illustrated, the Nation, Spin, The Village Voice, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and other places, among them the streets of his home city.
