Sobre este artículo
London: O. Hodgson. NA. Good. Early use of humor in advertising of a medicine. N.d., late 1830s, according to British Museum. 38 by 27 cm. Hand-colored picture of a jolly shipwrecked sailor, his face ravaged by warts and sitting in what looks like a barrel in the middle of the ocean, a long pony tail trailing off and attracting the glances of smiling fish. The caption: "Never go to sea without a large box of Morrison's Pills they will save your life said the doctor and sure his honour was right and no mistake when we were wreckd [sic] and all aboard perish'd I swallow'd the Pills jump'd into the Box and here I am going with a fair wind safe ashore." Scarce. Besides the British Museum, only other copies known, via OCLC, at Wellcome Library, and digital version shows up for Tufts. Condition: staining and flattened creases.
