Sobre este artículo
[Columbus, Oh: Ward Bros, 1891. Good plus.. [12]pp. in an accordion fold. Oblong 12mo. Original black-stamped cloth boards. Wear and chipping to spine ends and corners. First fold separated and reinforced with tape on verso. Light wear else. Pictorial souvenir for the tiny town of Beatrice, Nebraska, located in the southeast corner of the state. The town, founded in 1857, experienced a boom in the late-19th century when three major railroads passed through it. The present work opens with a view of the county courthouse, followed by panels containing the railroad station, banks, and industries such as the Beatrice Paving & Building Brick Co., the Canning Works, sewer pipe works, and others. Includes street views and residences, as well as churches and schools -- forty-seven images total. The rear pastedown contains an ad for William H. Hoffstot, bookseller and stationer, and dealer in the present souvenir album. We locate a single copy in OCLC, at the Denver Public Library.
