1963 hardcover as pictured. An account by an American who sailed with James Cook as corporal of marines on his third and final voyage of discovery in the Pacific. This is from a library archive but was non-circulating. The only library marking is a sticker on one of the front endpapers. Wheat colored cloth boards with blue and gold stamping are in excellent shape with minimal shelf wear. Pictorial endpapers. Text is clean and unmarked. Includes16 pages of photographs and illustrations as well as extended footnotes and an detailed index. Dust jacket is rubbed and soiled with small tears and chips.
