London: W. M. Thompson, 1966. First Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 1966 ADVANCE PROOF COPY of First Edition. Original pale green wrappers with black lettering front and spine. The book has fading along the edges both front and back and the spine is faded. No previous owner marks or writing on any pages, clean covers, no tears, some wrinkles to spine covering, no foxing, solid binding. The book measures 240mm tall x 185mm, and has 127 pages, 30 b/w photos, 1 map. The final product, what was actually sold in stores as the published first edition, had 32 photos. This proof copy has 30 of those but does not include the last two. However, the detailed captions for the photos (at the end) in this proof have descriptions for 38 photos, 5 of those being left blank, and three of them describing photos that were not included in the proof (but two of which were included in the final product). PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
