It was associated with the Czech Proletkult organization, a group established shortly after the Communist Party itself was founded, in 1921, based on the Soviet proletarian culture organization by the same name. The calendar appeared from 1921 to 1930. With illustrations showing May Day celebrations by Russian youth, several works by V. Mašek, Poetry and prose by S. K. Neumann, Ivan Olbracht, Carl Sandburg, Boris Pilniak, a short notice with photograph about an exhibit of Russian books in Prague, an article on the Lenin mausoleum, and much else.
