Philip Scheffler (1930-2018) is remembered for his extensive career at the CBS News program "60 Minutes." He began his tenure at CBS News in 1951 as a copy boy and steadily climbed the ranks, eventually becoming the executive editor of "60 Minutes" and right-hand man for Don Hewitt. Scheffler continued to contribute to "60 Minutes" until his retirement in 2003, leaving behind a lasting legacy in broadcast journalism. He passed away on September 7, 2018, at the age of 85.
