The rare Bijou Edition was a sample issue in miniature measuring 4-5/8 by 3-inches...a queen of a mini for "the queen of the monthlies". Published by Louis A. Godey for 48 years (1830-78) when he sold the magazine in 1877 (a year before his death) to John Hill Seyes Haulenbeek who published the magazine for 20 additional years with the original title.
