The woman wears a cloth headdress with a flattened bow at the left side of her head. The man is bearded, and both have the traditional elongated earlobes. From the drawing by William Hodges, the artist on Captain James Cook's Second voyage of exploration (1772-75) in the ships Resolution and Adventure. 13 3/4 x 9"; paper 15 1/2 x 9 3/4"
