There is a patch of color loss to the rear spine joint of the book cover. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's inked name on the front endpaper. The dust jacket has some chipping at the spine ends and corners, and there are small triangular chips from the spine and rear flap joint. "Speaking Effectively is a text for the beginning course in Speech. The authors believe that before a speaker becomes a speech artist he must first become a speech mechanic, and therefore they emphasize methods of sound speech composition." .
