The spine is slanted and faded. The lettering is tarnished but still legible. The boards are a bit rubbed and stained. There is a crack in the gutter at the last page.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Ex-Library.

Hardcover, no dustjacket, a clean, attractive copy with the following minor flaws: small chip to the fore-edge of pages 6 and 7 (no loss of text) , the brown cloth spine is slightly faded, a small amount of foxing is present on the front and rear blank end-papers, the binding is tight and square and the contents are fine .

Paperback / softback. New. Edwards was a graduate of University College, Cardiff and although spent time in Vienna, Florence and London this was her permanent home. Both Davies and Edwards were clearly influenced by Chekhov (Davies called him "my god") and the stories in "Rhapsody" are reminiscent of his work. This novel established his name as a young writer to watch.
