Collins, 1937. First edition hardback in dustjacket, unpaginated, it has twelve of the sixteen colour plates, but is otherwise complete. The jacket has some losses. The cloth binding has losses to the ends of the spines, it is sound. The free endpaper is missing. A part from a touch of light foxing in places, the text and plates are clean.

Moderate cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting, pages are loose with page to centre of book detached but still present. Pages and illustrations are lightly tanned throughout. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends with splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Water stain to bottom edge of front board. Unclipped jacket has heavy edgewear with areas of loss, heavy tears, chips, and creasing. Light tanning to spine and edges. Scratches to rear panel. Foxing overall.
