This book is in good or better condition. There are no markings in the book. Cover, appears to be silk cloth with cloud design, shows very minor signs of shelf/edge wear. Sewn binding with uncut pages. Volume 1. 1936. First edition, third printing. Nice hardbound tri-fold slipcase with two slip clasps for closure with very minor sun fading. Ships within 24 hours.

Fujiya Hotel, Ltd, 1937. Soft cover. Good/No jacket. Includes sleeve. The cover is worn and tanned with the bottom corner edge of the front cover hinge being creased. Sting binding. The top and bottom edges of the text block is slightly tanned, visible on the page margins. The front end page leaf has ink signatures from the previous owners, but otherwise all other pages are clean and bright.

Ex-library stamps inside, but no marks on cover. No date indicated - circa 1930's. In tattered ex-library marked blue slipcase, torn at top of spine, with bone closures. Printed on double pages of rice paper flecked with sparkly mica. Black and white illustrations with occasional spots of color. Corner of first blank page cut out.

Written by Frederic de Garis for H.S.K. Yamaguchi, Managing Director, Fujiya Hotel, Miyanoshita, Hakone, Japan. Second printing 1935. Inscription by Yamaguchi is signed & dated 2nd June, 36, with his postage stamp size photo on the first page.. Octavo, sewn silk wrappers in the Japanese style, illustrated throughout, well kept in a purpose-made folding board case, with a 5cm split along top front joint. The book itself is in fine condition.

Inscribed by Mr. Yamacuchi, with a small photo, in English and Japanese on front blank. Small spot on cover, folder slightly worn, with paper label missing, o/w a VG clean copy.

Three volumes in one, 1964 edition, 591 pages, beige cloth covered boards, spine is stitched, there is a paper title pasted to front of cover. The pages were only printed on one side, then folded so following page is back to back and left uncut. This is in a beige fabric (different design) covered box with worn corners. Box has paper label on spine and an ivory closer. 889 illustrations, done for the Fujiya Hotel .
