It has been printed from a set of the proof sheets carefully revised and added to by the author in 1876-77.It is the story of child life 50 years ago(from 1863).Full of charming illustrations. Quarter bound, red and green boards. Very bumped at the corners and the spine is very bumped and rubbed.The title is written down the spine.The inside covers at the front and back are blue marbling and very nice. There is a portrait of Marjorie Fleming prefixed in the front which has been copied in facsimile from a water colour drawing made probably by Miss I Keith in 1811. There are exquisite pencil sketches throughout of child life which have been engraved by Messrs. dawson, London. Nice tight binding and clean pages. A delightful book.There is a small newspaper cutting taped into the front with the sale of the book for 10s6d in 1884. AB60
