Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Visible wear marks to boards.

Twenty-two chapters on conjuring tricks and performance magic illustrated with diagrams showing how to perform them. A bit of a bibliographical puzzle as the title age carries the date 1927 but the copyright page shows 1925 AND the publisher's seal usually indicative of first editions. A tight, clean copy with darkening to the spine strip. No jacket.

John Mulholland was a noted American magician and magician historian, editing the magic journal, 'The Sphinx' for many years, as well as touring and lecturing on magic.
