This volume ranks number 36 of the author's forty books, and is the dearest to his heart. The anecdotes are arranged chronologically and speak of Terrell's rich experiences as a cowboy, sheepherder, telephon lineman, hobo, and tourist. As a journalist, Terrell wrote for The San Francisco Chronicle and United Press, and covered World War II for Newsweek. The pencil drawings of Lorence Bjorklund (1911 - 1978) are marvellous.
