Notable foxing and tanning to endpapers and page edges. Some gutter cracking. Some pages loose but not detached. Mild wear and bumping to spine, board edges and corners, with scuffing, staining and marking to boards. Heavy sunning to spine. Book has a forward lean and is slightly curved.

Pages are mildly tanned with visible foxing. Heavy tanning to endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters, however binding remains firm. Mild thumb-marking present. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and mild marking to boards. Mild sunning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing and tearing to ends. Mild water stains and droplets to boards.

Contents clean and tight, a little fxing/ toning throughout but not effecting the plates, Bolton School bookplate to the front pastedown, prize inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1923 . A very good copy.
