Publisher's textured green cloth with gold vignette on front board of Cilo and a juvenile British lion. Hardcover. Good binding and cover. Small discoloration to cover at front board extremities. All edges gilt. Clean, unmarked pages. 20 hand colored illustrations. Over two hundred woodcuts in black and white.

Condition: calf rubbed along joints, with a touch of starting, front cover, vol. 2. Some rubbing of spine. Top band of vol. 2 front cover has sunning. Light foxing of prelims in both volumes, but generally pages are clean, as are the plates. Overall, a handsome set.
