Index, Appendix, Bibliography. Born in Ft. Astoria in 1824, MacDonald spent several years in Japan, but most of his adult life was spent in "mining and other ventures" in British Columbia. Ex-lib, but with only one interior stamp, no edge stamps. Pocket & label on front paste down. Call number on lower spine has been cleaned off & some coating to the cloth rubbed away. Upper half of front cover with faint dampstain. Faint dampstain near binding about one hundred pages into the book. Withal, a nice looking reading copy. Very, very scarce now. Tweney 46, Smith 6300.
