Eighth edition. 8vo. xvi, 421, (1) pp. Contemporary prize binding from Marlborough College, red full calf, spine with raised bands, gilt lettered label, the college crest in gilt to the upper board and a prize inscription to the front flyleaf, endpapers and all edges marbled. Frontispiece portrait of Sir Colin Campbell, Lord Clyde plus three other portraits and three plans. Occasional mild rubbing to the covers, very good.

Original maroon cloth, spine rubbed and slightly sunned. Kaye's "History of the Sepoy War" first appeared from 1864-76, Malleson's "History of the Indian Mutiny" from 1878-80. This combined edition first appeared in 1890.
