Jacket edges are lightly tanned, worn, and chipped, and corners of front jacket flap are clipped, cutting off original price, and publisher's correction pasted on jacket spine, but jacket is protected by a mylar cover. Lower corners of cover boards are bumped, and bottom edges of cover are foxed. Bottom edge of spine is bumped, but binding is secure. Bottom edge of text block is scuffed, not visible on edges of pages themselves. End papers are foxed. Publisher's correction pasted on title page and publication page. Light foxing on some pages, not affecting legibility of text. Pages are otherwise unmarked.

A one hundred-page account of the life of Paul Nash, followed by almost 200 reproductions including a number in colour, and a detailed 34-page chronology. The cloth lightly faded at the backstrip, and with just a touch of wear to the head of the spine. Free endpapers and pastedowns lightly toned.
