Boston: Dana Estes and Charles E Lauriat, 1877. Hardcover. Very Good. A DeNeuville, Leopold Flaming, G Staal, Viollat, Philippoteaux, Lienard, and others. I, II, III Three volume hardcover set in good to very good condition. Solid boards with tiny- pebbled maroon leather cover and deeper maroon corners and spine edged in gold gilt. Decorative raised bands on spine with a section used for title, a section used for author and volume, rest of bands with decorative scroll. Vol I has gold printing / decoratives well rubbed and off along most of center of spine; Vol II and Vol III still quite crisp and clear. Rubbing and wear along corners and extremities. Vol I has a section of front board with area of ""blotch"" - as if someone had rubbed too hard when cleaning. Marbled endpapers in all volumes in orange, blue, and maroon. All Volumes have a bookplate pasted on verso of front board but no handwriting or previous ownership noted. All edges marbled with orange, blue, and maroon,…
