Dedicated to the Duke of Somerset, President of the Royal Institution, this is Faraday's only complete work in book form. First published two years earlier, it includes an extensive index. Text with very minor even age-toning, half-title with a few faint spots, but in all a crisp and bright. Provenance: Edward Cunard (bookplate to front-pastedown; James Small Brechin (bookplate to first flyleaf), collation notes on rear flyleaf, loosely attached is a photograph of Faraday's home at Hampton Court.
