Some rippling to board cloth, some dings to the page block, and the spine on this heavy book cupped. Still clean and sound, with an old crack to the front inner hinge neatly and unobtrusively repaired. The title page states "Fifth thousand," though this is apparently present in all copies of the first edition. A southern perspective on the Civil War, told through the eyes of an Alabama officer.
