Inside text is in Excellent to Like New Unread condition. There is a stamp from "The Colonial Press, Inc." on the first end page that states this is an "Imperfect or overstocked book make available to their employees for their personal use". Since I see no imperfections, this must have been overstocked. No other markings inside or outside of the book. Outside pictorial covers are nice with some minor corner and edge wear. Outside cloth covers are nice with some minor soiling to the top of the outside spine. Book includes the "Dear Young Reader" letter that was provided to members of the "Young Readers of America" club. Letter itself is nice with just some small soiling and edge wear to the top edge of the letter. Dust Jacket is in Very Good condition with some minor soiling to the back cover and some edge chipping and small missing pieces primarily at the top of the outside spine. Foxed along the edges and text block edges. Faint remains of previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has heavy wear and chipping to the spine ends, less so along the edges and at the corners. Top of spine has been repaired with cell tape. Folds and panels are somewhat rubbed and rear panel shows soil. No price on flap and has BOMC details on front flap. Illustrated with black and white drawings. One of the publisher's Landmark series books for children. Landmark Books No. 89 .
