Double page engraved title-page in each volume. Illustrated with 24 (of 25) engraved portraits. A very good copy, some foxed. Queen of George IV, Caroline lived in great disfavor with the crown after the birth of her daughter. She was tried for her relations with her Italian courtier, Louis Bergami. Attempts to pass a bill divorcing her from the King were unsuccessful.
