An attractive edition of this classic that includes illustrations by Rockwell Kent. A very good plus copy with the pages partially unopened in cloth covered boards with leather spine that has some of the usual wear and a former owner signature to the second blank endpaper in a very good slipcase that has some minor wear. No dust jacket. Signed by Kent on the limitation page.

Hardcover book bound in the publisher's original cloth and gilt-stamped leather spine. In original slipcase. 28 cm. 81 pages. Two-color illustrations by Kent throughout. This copy has been signed by Rockwell Kent directly on the limitations page at the rear of the book. The book is in near fine condition. Previous owner's name/date written on the front loose end page. Hinges tight, interior pages bright. The leather spine is in excellent overall condition with just a touch of scuffing and edge wear to the head and tail. Light edge wear/bumping to the covers. Moderate to heavy edge wear, soiling, staining to the slipcase.

Condition is VERY GOOD+ ; leather supple, joints excellent. Some small marks and scuffs to spine. Covers very clean with no shelf wear. Binding tight, textspotless. The publisher used folded sheets and the pgs are uncut where there is no need to cut them, i.e., no printing on those pgs. Original slipcase is a bit rough, sunned, edges chipped, one joint started, rear lower end broken but it doesn't affect the overall solidity of the case much at all. RK. RGR.
