Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Light bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Book has noticeable forward lean, with light sunning overall. Boards are slightly bowed.

Collins, 1111. Probably 1920s, dated from original owner's signature on flyleaf, though frontispiece and other sepia illustrations are dated 1908. Pocket sized. 434pp, dark red cloth covered boards with faded gilt title to spine. Some marginal notes, mainly in pencil but a couple in ink, so sold as a good 'reading copy'. Comes with a newspaper article about Arnold and his love for 'Marguerite'.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
