As the operation begins to fail, Wingate's airplane crashes into the mountainside, and the teams are withdrawn to the West of the Chindwin. Written by Brigadier Bernard Edward Fergusson, a British Army officer and military historian. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is also smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities.
