Bumps to the spine ends along with chips. Fairly minor wear to the lower fore corners. A couple of spots to the lower, rear board. There is some minor foxing to the rear endpapers. Very tight. The dust jacket has a large V-shaped tear to the rear panel. There is a shorter tear branching off from this. There are wrinkles in the same area. Matching stains to the lower, rear. The spine is faded. Chips to the upper spine end and lower corners. Price of $1.50 to the front flap. The very scarce first book by the much-decorated, future Caldecott Award winner. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall .
