Dustjacket price-clipped, a few small edge tears, head of spine panel sometime repaired to reverse, lightly spotted to front panel. A first edition of the largest by some margin of the supplementary monograph series, a book that despite its ‘reputation as an outstanding work’ (Bernhard & Loe p.256) was a commercial failure, selling just 2,500 copies, contributing to its scarcity today. The dustjacket, despite a few edge tears, retains a clear, bright white fulmar on its spine panel; Bernhard & Loe claim the ‘vast majority’ of copies are tanned, as is their copy used for illustration, but here discolouration is limited to some light spotting to the front panel.
