Contents clean and unmarked except for old owner bookplate front inside cover. Gilt top edge. 347pp. All items carefully packed to avoid damage from moisture and rough handling.

An interesting and well written collection of observations and philosophical views on a variety of subjects, the musings divided into sections: 'Dreams of Boyhood', 'Dreams of Youth', 'Dreams of Manhood', and 'Dreams of Age'. No publishing date given but appears published sometime during 19th century. Hardcover, 136pp. + 15pp. of additional material. Binding firm, pages lightly browning, some pages with thin margin lines or corner folds. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Acceptable. 324 p., not ex-lib., no former owner's name, no markings other than faint splatter along front gutter, which is cracked; 16mo; clean green-patterned end pages and clean within though age-toned; frontis. engraving of author with tissue guard; marbled boards in rose and gilt; half leather bound in maroon but most of leather stripped from spine,and leather corners bumped. Dedicated to Washington Irving by an author very much appreciated in his own day. Deserves skillful repair.

Small tear at the head of the sp ine. Mild tanning to the pages. .

Mitchell.  Printed by Scribner 1892.  Mitchell pseudonym "Ik Marvel" the book is a very nice version, it is in good conditio, a little fading on the letterinh at spine, it is black with gold and has an elevated cameo in a circle. Book in very good condition, believe to be a later edition.
